More About Me
William has been included in Marquis Who’s Who, Professional Executive, as in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, selected based on the current reference value factors, including experience, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in his field, considered during the selection process. William Head of Facilities at The New York Institute For Special Education oversees capital projects and Plant Operations improvements across two school campuses, where William's contribution in spearheading and completing the capital improvement projects within a year contributed to the success of the executive director's retirement in 2025. Before stepping into his current position, William worked at Columbia University promoted to code compliance officer within seven months, and elected to lead instructor on occupational health & environmental safety for 200 professional tradesmen.
Thereafter, the knowledge gained was used to dedicate nearly 10 years to the Department of Homeless Services during his tenure there. William played a pivotal role in transforming a dormitory at Brooklyn College into a micro facility for women suffering from mental health issues and chemical dependency. This project was particularly challenging due to the need to secure a building within a community setting, yet William's calm demeanor, listening skills, and inclusive approach were instrumental in successfully completing the transformation in just under a year, providing 200 women with a safe place to live.

As a result of this early achievement, William earned his Network Engineering, a Bachelor's in Business Management, and a Master's in Criminal Justice, which ultimately inspired him to work toward a doctorate, which he is currently pursuing in organizational leadership. In all that William has pursued and achieved, William credits his commitment to lifelong learning and a passion for providing hospitable living spaces, which have allowed William to excel in his field. As a result of his career involvement, William is associated with various organizations that align with his commitment to improving living conditions for vulnerable populations and serving the community.

William says, "The devil is in the details," that many companies overlook the importance of valuing their workforce, which is crucial for achieving organizational goals and missions, that continuing to emphasize listening to a diverse group of clients needs and working in a team setting highlights the importance of knowledge-sharing collaborations in all projects he undertakes.
